There has been so much happening with the MRA behind the scenes. We are at a point to share our plans with you, our racquetball community.
Welcome to the updated website. We’ve made improvements for appearance, usability and hopefully making our website, your website for all local and state wide racquetball updates. We’ve got great ideas to that we are looking to implement over the next several months.
New Board – There has been several changes to our board. We have a new president and four new members – Felipe Sosa, Dave Burns, Kelly Johnson, Vallana Perrault, Andy Wiegand.
I want to take a minute to thank Jonn Olson and Therese Zadnik-Klecker for their support while severing you these past few years. Hope to see you both on courts.
We bringing more opportunities to play competitive racquetball. The 2024-2025 season started off with World Wide Racquetball Day in September. In October we hosted a Racquetball and Pickles tournament in St. Cloud. And we’re coming off the State Doubles Tournament in November.
In addition, there’s been a Wednesday singles league in Edina, a regular 8AM group in Apple Valley and 1st Saturday of the month shootouts in Fridley.
Over the upcoming months I’ll share my vision, plans and direction for MRA through monthly updates. In the meantime, I’m looking forward to growing our base, supporting you, our players and testing different tournament formats to make them more competitive and fun for everyone.
