Life Time Fitness - One Day Shootout #5

Life Time Fitness - Fridley Club

Saturday, April 14th - 2012

The fifth in a series of One Day tournaments to be held at Lifetime Fitness this year.  The one day tournament offers a unique opportunity to play in a full tournament event with a compressed format and compressed pricing, opening play to many players that previously could not devote an entire weekend for a tournament.  If you missed the State Singels event, this tournament is the last sanctioned event for the 2011/2012 season.  Get out there for one more fun event before dusting off your golf clubs and hitting the outdoors for the summer.

The OPEN Singles Division will offer a cash payout (amount to be determined by number of entries) with all other division winners receiving a tournament One Day Series Medal for 1st, 2nd, and Consolation.

Payment will be collected at tournament check-in.  Please bring cash, check, or credit card.

NOTE:  All events have consolation divisions.  Please check the tournament desk if you are unsure of your next match.

New To Racquetball?

To play a game of racquetball you only need a few things to get started. Most racquetball equipment and accessories can be purchased seperately or starter kits can be purchased for about $30 from a club proshop or sporting goods retail store.

Racquet (Cost anywhere from $20-$200, depends on budget, and willingness to pay for feel and technology.)
Eyewear (Recommended and important, helps reduce the risk of injury if you are hit in the eye.)
Ball (Balls come in different colors such as blue, green, lavender and black. Any color will do.)
Glove. (Optional, this will help you keep a firm grip on the racquet during those fast rallies.)
Shoes (Any type of indoor court or tennis shoe, there are shoes designed specifically for racquetball.)

For more information on how to play, tips from the pro's, video instruction and more visit Racquetball University online.
