Hey could one of you Gearbox guys drop a short review of the racquets out here.  I am curious what you think of them after playing for a year.  How do they compare to other racquets you have used...how is the company doing etc...

Thanks

I've hit with the racquet.  It hits well.  It should, the company was started by one of the lead racquet designers from E-Force.  It's a little more head heavy than the Lethal 160g racquet, but its solid and feels good.  If they can fix the bumper guard fiasco, it'll be a better racquet.

HOWEVER, as a stringer, the racquet blows goats to try to string.  Additionally with the little foam vibration dampener at the bottom cross string, it makes the racquet a great challenge to string.

I am picking up some demos that I left in that neck of the woods friday.  After I pick those up I can stop in at central to let you hit with them or look at them.

I think that the racquet is great.  For me I find it very easy to string compared to the head inner gromet system.  I string the racquet at 30lbs and leave out the bottom seven cross holes and start at the eight hole.  I do this in part that I'm used to a string pattern that only goes three fourths of the way down like a eforce racquet.  Overall a good stick for an advanced player.

i like everything about them except like what terry said about the bumper guards.  they really need to fix those for next year.  one really good thing about them is that they are very durable and hard to break; at least the 250's.

Great feeling racquet

much quicker through the swing zone than a head racquet, and more power production

The sweetspot is lower on the frame than head or ektelon, and it is not that large (I have about 9 string breaks to testify to this), it's meant for an advanced player (Like John G said)

but the frame is very stable regarldess, extremely durable as well, really you don't need a bumper to protect the frame.

the only possible flaw in the frame is the lack os string protection it offers, (the original grommets are not high enough to protect the string)

however, they have come out with a new grommet design, and I have ordered some, which should arrive sometime next week, I can't wait.

For some players it may take some time to adjust to it, depending on what manufacturor you're coming from.
